Consistent care that protects your investment and keeps your outdoor spaces in top condition.
Service Overview

What We Deliver

A healthy lawn starts with proper preparation. LC & Son installs new lawns using both seed and sod methods, matched to your soil conditions, sun exposure, and intended use. We handle everything from soil prep to final grading to installation.

For sod installations, we prepare the surface, lay fresh sod in tight seams, roll for contact, and set up initial watering. For seeded lawns, we prepare the seedbed, apply the correct seed blend, add starter fertilizer, and mulch for moisture retention.

Whether you’re establishing a lawn on new construction or replacing a worn-out yard, we deliver a clean, even result that’s ready to grow.

FAQ

New Lawns FAQ

Common questions about our new lawns services.
Should I choose sod or seed for my new lawn?
Sod gives instant results and is best for quick turnarounds. Seed is more cost-effective for large areas but takes 8–12 weeks to establish. We help you choose based on your timeline and budget.
For cool-season grasses, early fall is ideal. Spring is second best. Sod can be installed most of the year as long as the ground isn’t frozen and you can water consistently.
New sod needs daily watering for the first 2 weeks, then gradually reduced. New seed needs to stay consistently moist until germination. We provide detailed care instructions with every installation.
Always. Proper soil preparation including grading, amendment, and seedbed prep is critical to lawn success. We never skip this step.
Yes. We can renovate existing lawns through overseeding, topdressing, and targeted repairs, or do a complete replacement if the lawn is beyond repair.
